Bonding

Mother and daughter, here by the grace of God.
Beautiful.

Diezel and Xia, here by the grace of God.
Beautiful.

Turkeys, here by the grace of God.
Beautiful.

What?
Okay, I know seems out of place, right?

Bonding: The process that a child goes through in developing lasting emotional ties with it's immediate caregivers, which is seen as the first and most significant developmental task of a human being, and is central to that person's ability to relate properly to others throughout its life.

The biggest blessing so far from choosing to home school McKayley and Faith has been the amazing bond that has grown between us. I truly believe because and by the grace of God that I chose to listen to His call for us this has happened. To me these turkeys (Thanks Crispy for the great link on your blog and the amazing home school resources) represent the bond that continues to grow with my girls.

First of all, love the bonding photos!!
Second of all, love the turkey art. I bookmarked the art site, so we can try it too. My sons are always happy to do anything that doesn't involve writing with a pencil. I totally agree about homeschooling. I am soooo glad we live in a place where we are able to.

I love the picture of Gadese and Christiana! How beautiful! Not saying that the turkey pictures or not, just that the one of Gadese is extra beautiful. :)
I also love that homeschooling allows an extra level of closeness. We love it, at least most days!

Steffany,
It doesn't look like we are going to be able to adopt our little boy and we are grieving HARD and questioning why God took us down this path only to slam the door in our faces (in our minds anyway). But seing the pictue of Gadese and Christiana - just even KNOWING about them and the miracles God has worked in their lives and yours, it seems like such a blessing to have had a seat in the galery. Our God is wondrous and fabulous and some day he'll gently heal our hearts and reveal his plan. Until then we'll trust and hang on to Him. To whom else would we turn, Lord?

Smiles through the tears,
Jan McF
