Update on Diezel

I heard from Steffany. They found out that Diezel has pneumonia. They are running tests on him to see what is causing his bowel problems...parasite, disease, virus, malnutrition, etc. The results will come back in 3 days. He was completely dehydrated. When they put the catheter in, not even a drop of urine came out. Stef said the doctors are not sure they want to start Diezel on an antibiotic for the pneumonia due to the condition he is in. They aren't sure what effect the antibiotic would have on his body. They are monitoring him closely. She is concerned that if it is something viral that Daizey doesn't get it, because she has even less reserves than Diezel. He declined so extremely fast. Pray for divine wisdom for the Dr.s. Pray for supernatural healing, and for their hearts to be flooded with peace and rest. Pray for Daizey's protection and continued strength. Pray for the children that are at home as well. They were just separated from their parents for a period of time, so this is hard. Steffany wants to be with all of her children. There are so many things for us to cover in prayer...please pray as the Holy Spirit leads you.

Thank you for your continued prayers.

We prayed again last night as a family for you and the children. My 9 year old daughter was so concerned to the point of tears for your kids. I wanted to get up early and pray for your family again before my busy day. I am sure you are so concerned.

We are praying for peace, healing, strength and power. I am sure this is so tough on you all. We are crying out to God on your behalf today.

Stef~ you are not alone. Your heavenly father knows your pain and fears intimately and is with you in every second. You are on my mind and in my prayers constantly- even through the night. I am praying that God's strength and peace will flow through you and hold your entire family together during this stressful time!

Steffany, Praying for you in Alabama this morning. May God, our father, and great healer wrap his loving, protective arms around your whole family and raise those sweet babies up to do great things for his honor and glory.

These children should have been in a hospital from the minute the plane landed.

Diezel is doing better!!!!! He is making progress. Eating food by mouth. Interacting. He hasn't passed out today. They are waiting for bowl test results to come back to see if he has any parasites, etc. Steffany has been sleeping at the hospital. My cousin Laura is on her way w/ her two kids to Missouri Saturday morning. She will help with the kids at home so Steffany & Adam can focus on the babies.

God hasn't left us blind in this. There is a way out & He wants us to glorify His name as we walk down that path.

Thanks for the prayers for our family. The Body is so good.

Anonymous--in a situation like this you have to look at it from all angles. First, they are under excellent care from their doctor. They were making good progress each day towards health. Diezel's decline was rapidly fast, and not anticipated. Secondly, maybe you don't understand the bonding issues that an adoptive parent strives towards in those first days and weeks home. There was concern about how a hospitalization may traumatize these young babies. Please show heartfelt concern vs. pointing fingers at this point. They are doing absolutely everything they can to provide the absolute best for their new children and their children at home. What is your purpose in posting such a comment on a blog post like this? What are you trying to prove and why did you not choose to use your real name?

This is an extremely stressful situation for this entire family and I would appreciate if you would show them respect they deserve!
