Grateful

Wow! I just finished reading all the amazing comments. I am so completely in awe. I sit here humbled and amazed by everyone's faithful prayer. There is no doubt in my mind that your prayers carried us through this adventure.

We are thankful to be home. In spite of the lice, pink eye, colds, 2 very needy toddlers and the awkwardness of having a stranger living with us, I'm actually quite peaceful. Maybe it's the lack of sleep:)

Diezel and Daizey are getting better everyday. They are continuing to amaze and inspire me. They are filled with strength and determination.

We had a great doctors visit. They have gained a lot of weight. They are filling out more everyday. I love my pediatrician. He wanted to admit them. I did not. I see how much they are approving. The difference from one day to the next is miraculous. I just felt like if they were admitted that a lot of ground would be lost. Daizey has some serious trust issues that I am working with. If it was 4 days ago, I would have admitted them in a heartbeat, but they are both eating and drinking great. Daizey is finally having output. So we decided to touch base everyday and if the improving stops or if at anytime they backslide in they go.

I have so much I want to share with you all. Even with all the stress of my time in Africa it was a dream come true. I met amazing people, created friendships that will last a lifetime and came home with a heart overflowing with gratitude.

WOW! Like Laura, the video brought tears to my eyes. All of you have been on such an incredible journey. To see the kids doing so well compared to where they were just last week. Again....WOW! I may not have posted many comments but you certainly have been in my prayers and will continue to be. You are an amazing family..you have such huge hearts to open up your home permanently to not one but TWO kids in desparate need of a family to love and care for them and to open up your home to a stranger as well. Your obedience to God is so evident. To God be the glory!

Like the rest- I am crying- God is soooo good! Last night my kids found an old Thomas book that they wanted to read and my son found pictures of Daisy and Diesel (different spellings~ I know) and said "Mommy- just like the babies that God is making better!"
Oh- that video made my day!!! What a blessing!!!!!

Thanks so much for sharing the video. I wish I was there and could give you all some respite, but also, truly, play with all of the kids. I hope everyone is feeling rested today and that God continues to show His glory throughout today...and tomorrow and so on! Yeah, Praise God. Yeah, Yeah,Yeah!!!! It is incredibly difficult to exude joy and thanksgiving, overwhelming love and celebration via computer. Please know that I am dancing with joy for you guys!

Hi. I haven't been following your story but I am connected with Brandi. Congratulations on you new little ones. We have just switched from the Acres of Hope program to pursuing an adoption in Ethiopia. We are searching through a waiting child list and are curious about a nine month old. She weighs just eight pounds and cannot sit up or roll over. How old are your twins? Our doctor was concerned that it might be more than malnutrition causing her problems. I am excited about the advances you have seen in your twins. If you have any input please email me at scottdiane@mchsi.com. Thanks,
Diane

Just wondering how today was. . .I'm thinking of you!

Jesus, help their evening to be wonderful and relaxing. . help Daizey to see the absolute LOVE flowing from her Daddy and to be attracted to that. . .melt her heart. Jesus, help each child to connect in a cool way with the twins tonight. . .may their whole family be blessed in small and sweet ways this evening.

Love,
Bran

Amazing to know that we were right in the same room as you guys were just a few weeks back with our new little Elroi! As I watched your video, I marveled at what a small world it really is! To think I came across your blog and realized you were going through Better Futures as well~ What did you think of the dogs barking all night at the hyenas? Crazy huh? But I FINALLY got used to it and actually slept, about the last couple nights we were there!

I am so happy for you both. We have been praying fervently, and are so thankful you made it back with the twins. We heard about their story while we were there a little, and so it is nice to know you through this blog!

Bless you! Ethiopian children are amazing!

Love,
Tina
