Tears and Hair and Insomnia

Xia had her done for the first time. She screamed alot! The kids kept asking Gadese to stop. Even Adam thought Xia was being hurt. We had to explain that no, it didn't hurt her and that she was simply mad and maybe a little scared at having to sit for so long.

We finally figured out if I held her, she would stop screaming. She even almost fell asleep during the last part of it.

She looks Adorable!

*side note*

Please ignore the tremendous bags under my eyes and the overall worn out look of me. My insomnia has gone to crazy new heights these last few months. Any suggestions?

I love the hair. The top shot is so cute.

As for needing to sleep...I use sleepytime extra tea (the wellness tea with the purple on the top of the box). Celestail seasonings. It helps me.

um...I just spelled it celestail ~ like an animal tail. Not Celestial. Maybe I need to make a cup and head to bed.

Love the pictures! Love the hair!

Can you get a night away...BY YOURSELF!?!? Check into a hotel, order room service, get a massage, catch up on some YOU time and have a 24 hour break? If not, lock yourself in the bathroom with music, a glass of wine (or the Sleepytime tea-she's right...its delightful!) and a book! Sorry to hear you're not sleeping!

No suggestions on the insomnia... I have 7, and my younger crew is very close in age... I just remember getting no sleep in those early years, sorry!

But on the hair front... lollypops and videos work wonders! I do my son's hair, and he is older, so it's easier, but maybe if there were treats she only got at "hair time" it would help. My son loves hair times, because he gets to pick a movie himself, and have a special snack.

She sure looks adorable though!!!

Her hair looks great. Two things to try for insomnia-
melatonin if you haven't already tried that and then there is a product called Natural Calm that I use-it is a powdered magnesium supplement that you add to hot water and drink at bedtime. I am a terrible sleeper and this helps me to go to sleep and wake less in the night. I get it at the health food store. Sometimes I give it to my kids too.

Hi, Xia looks so cute. I love her hair. I use wax/cotton earplugs that I buy on-line made by Flents. I swear, I stick them in my ears and I am out!! no joke, miraculously, I still hear any of my kids if they wake up, it just blocks out enough to make me sleep well.

can you believe her once bald little head now has enough hair to be done!?!? Thank you, Jesus! she is so cute and of drama so the screaming makes me grin. :)

The bags under your eyes, the insomnia....hmmm, I think the best thing for that is to hit the swanky spa! I have a few other suggestions, but we'll cover those later. ;)

Love, love, love the hair! Gadese needs to come for a visit here once my girl comes home:) Have been in to the doc for your insomnia? Sometime some meds to get you over the hump and back into a healthy sleep pattern can do the trick. I took Ambien for a week once and it helped soooo much.

I know someone already mentioned this, but melatonin has been a lifesaver for me during times like this and it doesn't leave me feeling hung over. The one drawback though, is if I awaken before morning, then I feel completely refreshed and can't go back to sleep. This may just be how it effects me though.

Love the hair btw.

How cute. I felt this way for a few days when my son first came home. Are they sleeping through the night yet?
