Lyme Education

I found this article interesting. http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/conditions/07/06/lymedisease.treatment/index.html

My sister died two years ago after a long battle with Lyme disease. I only now can understand the frustration she must have felt to be constantly misdiagnosed, told it was in her head, and that it couldn't be that bad. I'm so glad it is finally getting the attention it deserves.

It is so frustrating to suffer with something that no one knows or 'gets'! So sorry that this stuff comes out after the fact!

How was your trip back home? Coast to Coast in less than 2 weeks! WOW! Are you all flying to Orlando? How are you feeling? So nice to see you on here again! I have missed you~

I wonder if I don't listen to mom's complaints like I should...like the fibromyalgia stuff. I still remember that day you found out and called me. I'm glad that it's getting the attention it deserves but sad the Kim had to experience what she did. I miss her.

WOW!

I didn't know this about your sister. I struggled for over a year with Lymes and went undiagnosed . I was also told it was in my head. Finally, an infectious disease guy found it. By then I was SO sick. I thought I was going to die. I still have some issues from it, but I am well.

Thanks for sharing this. I am SO sorry for the loss of your sister.
