Not Only...

Not only did Faith break her wrist at Gymnastics, but apparently she has lice now as well. AARGH! Not again.
If you're unfamiliar with my lice adventures you can read about them here
and here.
So today I get to wash, wash, wash, and comb, comb, comb.

Did I mention I'm leaving late tonight to fly back to California for two days.

You poor thing. Nothing quit like lice to make you feel the creepy crawly icky feeling.

I know how you feel, my oldest daughter battled lice twice, I would not wish this on my enemies!!!! They are the most time consuming, emotionally draining bugs I have ever met! The second time around I broke down and started crying, my whole family showed up on my doorstep and cleaned the house for me while I combed and combed and combed! Good luck and comb on!!!!

LICE AGAIN!?!?! Maybe you should lock your kids up! Keep their hair CLOSE to their head and put gunk in it. Those bugs LOVE clean hair! Come see me and I can give everyone new do's!

Have a fun trip!!!

Steff--are you kidding me??? I cannot believe she has it again. Does she get it at a friends house? Sooo sorry for you and Faith, and McKayley. I cannot stand those bugs!

I'm enforcing a mandatory pull Faith out of gymnastics movement. it's got to be those mats. I know the lice need human hair to survive so here's my theory. There's a lice village in one particular mat and everyday a new patch of hair comes along to fuel their reproduction. Then Faith rolls on the mat, leaves some of her hair there and picks up some lice and home she goes. So...no more broken bones and no more lice treatments at 3951!!!

My oldest daughter brought lice home from a mission trip to Brazil. I had a friend tell me that (plain) Listerine works wonders - and it really does. Soak the hair in Listerine and cover with a shower cap for an hour. Then, every evening mist the hair with it. I've also read that misting the hair weekly with Listerine will keep kids from getting them.

Sorry, it really is a nightmare. :o(
