Changes

About a month ago I had a dream. It was one of those amazingly clear dreams. It had purpose and direction. I heard a voice. When I first knew I was going to change the twins names, God gave us Diezel. There was no question. no matter the negative stuff we got we knew he was a Diezel. It was kaku's name that I struggled with. I finally settled on Daizey. It sounded cute, but I never felt that feeling. You know the one that say's this is it. Then I had THE DREAM. I heard a voice and it said" She shall be called Ziah. I asked the voice," Ziah as in I can spell it Zya". The voice said, "No. It is to be spelled X-I-A". I told Adam about the dream. He of course made fun of it. Saying "okay we'll call Diezel,Xylophone." Ha-ha. So I dismissed the dream, but it followed me everyday. "Her name is to be Xia". I finally couldn't deny it anymore. Daizey is a Xia. It means the glow of the morning sun. And that is her. My Xia.

I love it Stef! XIA is beautiful. I think the meaning is so perfect for her. She fits that. You were close with Daizy....bright flower, sunny, etc, but XIA is her name! Yay.

glow of the morning sun. beautiful.

Names are so powerful.
Just remember that Peter used to be Simon and Paul used to be Saul. I believe God still does this!
Take care,
Karin

I love it Steffany. I believe that when you here that voice from God and it is repetitive, God is up to something. Absolutely love the meaning too.

Hi, I'm not sure if I posted before or not - we are friends of Laura's in Texas. Anyways, I am so glad to find your blog again - I have loved following your journey. My sister is hoping to travel soon to adopt a little 18 month old boy from Ethiopia and we are adopting (hoping/praying) two older sisters from Ukraine. Anyways, I came across a blog today that I just had to tell you about because their family reminded me a little of yours - same number of kids and two toddler twins recently adopted from Ethiopia. Maybe you already have been to their blog but if not here it is!

Okay, Daizy was cute...but I LOVE Xia!

I haven't been checking in lately...but just caught up. You have a whole lot of stuff going on! Red carpets (by the way-great pic), nasty comments, and a birth coming up...it's a no wonder your last post sounded kind of winded. Please know that through all of this...I'll be praying for you, for your friend, her baby, and your family.

Blessings,
Danielle
