If our heart aches doesn't God's??? We must be responsible for what we do. That's why I have the compost piles and garden and take my grocery tote to the store, don't drive unless I must, have a hubby who drives scooter instead of a car... It isn't much but it is a start.crispyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14614782132011418603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8190770886130324242.post-63884207219784266162008-07-22T16:18:00.000-05:002008-07-22T16:18:00.000-05:00Can I borrow your disclaimer? We joked that the plastic bag was the "national flower." We discovered that part of the problem was that most of these people groups are nomadic and not used to having things that are meant to be thrown away. They were perfectly content using goat skins to carry their things and would have been better off to have never seen a plastic bag. We, in the West, though, felt like we needed to make their lives more "modern" and "convenient." Have you seen "The gods must be crazy?" It's a movie that visits this whole theme of globalization. Anyway, that's my 2 cents! By the way, you don't know me, I'm a lurker! :)Emilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11565757971232253960noreply@blogger.com
